AIS Hose & Braid (American Iron & Steel Compliant)

Penflex offers a line of flexible metal hose and braid compliant with American Iron & Steel (AIS) requirements for projects that require 100% domestically sourced raw materials.

Manufactured at our Gilbertsville, PA facility using stainless steel strip and wire melted and produced in the United States, AIS hose and braid provide the same proven geometry and performance characteristics as our standard P4 and 700 Series products.

AIS compliance is required for iron and steel products used in projects receiving assistance through the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund programs. While these requirements apply specifically to water infrastructure projects, products manufactured to AIS standards may also support broader domestic sourcing initiatives, including Build America, Buy America (BABA) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Defined part numbers and approved supplier lists support full traceability from raw material through finished product, simplifying procurement.
