Corrugated Hose Technician (Machine Operator)

Mission

To perform the duties described in this job description as directed by supervision to safely and efficiently produce corrugated hose from strip.

Duties and Responsibilities

Set-up hose-forming equipment in the Corrugation Department

• Perform set-ups on P2 equipment to meet production and quality requirements
• Perform set-up inspections per PTS documentation
• Diagnose and correct set-up problems
• Initiate ideas to reduce set-up time through cooperation with Quality Engineer

Operate P2 Hydraulic Corrugation equipment in Corrugation Department

• Operate all P2 equipment in the Corrugation Department and test hose to meet production and quality requirements
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance as required or directed to by supervision
• Adhere to Penflex Corporation safety guidelines at all times
• Perform in-process inspections as required per Penflex PTS documentation

Process improvement

• Strive for continuous improvement of the processes in the Corrugation Department
• Assist Quality Engineer in the development and implementation of process improvement ideas and projects

General

• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Adhere to Penflex Corporation safety guidelines at all times

Reporting

Machine technicians report to the Corrugation Department Supervisor.
